There are a few lists already available with any new account. We view these as more of a “reading status.”
If you want to create a more specific list, such as “Vacation Reads” or a collection of your favorite Classics, go to your “My Bookfinity” page. There you will find a “Book Lists” category. Simply click “Create a List” to make your own personalized list.
How do I add books to a list?
There are two ways to add a new book to your list.
When creating your own lists, you have the option to make them public or private. A private list can only be viewed by yourself when you are logged in. A public list can be viewed by anyone. Share the link by going to the individual list page and click “Share list.” You will get a link or option to directly share on any of your social platforms.
How do I follow a Book List?
To follow a Book List, make sure you are logged in to your Bookfinity account. Once you are logged in, go to the Book List you want to follow and click on the heart next to the book list. When the heart turns red, you are officially following that book list.
How do I see the lists I follow?
Go to “My Bookfinity” and go to the “Book Lists” section on the page. You will see a link called “Followed Lists” which will contain a link to any lists you follow.
Here are two popular lists to follow today:
Use the Like and Lose
feature to enhance your recommendations to see more of the books you love, and less of the ones you don’t. The books you “liked” will automatically be saved to a book list called “My Liked Books” so you can review at anytime.
One of the worst parts of finding a new book is having it spoiled in the reviews. Reviews are a good way to find out if a book is right for you. Knowing how many people recommend a book, if the plot is compelling, or whether it’s well written is useful for readers. But, scrolling down to the review section on some sites might end up spoiling the entire plot. Bookfinity offers a unique kind of review that goes beyond a star rating.
Most reviews lean on an overall star rating and a written review. This means to review a book you have to type up a reason for your review, which can be difficult and time consuming. Reviews on Bookfinity are simple, easy, and informative. Anyone can review a book with a few simple clicks.
At Bookfinity, we now give you the opportunity to rate a book on a full 5-star system. We even give you the opportunity to give a ½ star for those books that might not be a full star higher or lower. Come on! You know exaclty what we are talking about with some books.
So go review a book and be sure to let us know your true throughts by leaving a star rating at the bottom.
When you sign up for Bookfinity, you can start reviewing books right away. Search for your favorite title or your latest read and click "Review this Book." From there answer four simple questions honestly.
The most helpful question in the review is the question - Would you recommend this book? When answering this question, make sure to think about the types of readers who would enjoy this book. Not every book, no matter how good, is right for everyone.
Now when readers find the books you've reviewed, they won't just get a generic starred review. Instead, they will see what other readers rated the narration, length, and impact highest to lowest. What's more they will see who readers recommend this book to before they decide to add it to their list. All without having to worry about spoilers.
Help other book lovers find new reads by reviewing books on Bookfinity. It's quick and easy, spoiler free, and goes beyond another star rating.
Let others know how a book made you feel by using our unique review system that is more than just a star rating. Books are meant to stir a feeling so share your “mood” with each review. We even created awards just for each unique review mood – the Moodie Awards!
The Moodie Awards are Bookfinity brand’s end-of-year book awards. Books are meant to make readers feel something, and we celebrate the best books for each mood with the Bookfinity Annual Moodie Awards. For example, are you looking for a happy read that will boost your Moodie? Look no further - your fellow Bookfinity readers have voted! See all our Moodie Award winners here.
